Why do I even need to make a title?
Okay, I know that this has absolutely nothing to do with the so-called “issues”, but I still want to talk about it, and it was actually suggested by one of my classmates, Elizabeth, and the subject is something that you’ve probably heard of but I have my own views on it. The subject is: compound and simple machines. I know it may seem really boring as used as a term that you’ve heard of it in school, but it’s really not. A very scientific thing, your body is actually a lever. You know when you swing a bat or throw a ball, your arm is actually used as a lever, when you swing back your elbow is the fulcrum, or your shoulder is the fulcrum, and you swing back on it, your body is actually being used as a lever. Compound machines are more than one simple machine, so therefore a corkscrew is a compound machine, because it is made out of a screw and a lever. Another one of my classmates and I actually made a compound machine which was basically a lot like a two wedges and a lever. The purpose for it was to make a very complicated way of dumping things into the trash or another place, easily. Obviously we can already do it easily, but you get my point why I wanted to do it. It was a small bucket made out of paper, of course, attached to three q-tips. When you pulled the back one, everything that was in the basket would dump down and slide off; then there was a small q-tip on the front also attached which pulled down the piece of paper which slid it into the trash. The lever was the front q-tip and the wedge was the back one. If you’ve ever made a compound machine, you’ll know how much fun it is and maybe get into physics or chemistry! I myself like both.
